It's no secret to us that we want our clients to get the MOST out of their wedding photography. Quality, award-winning images - but not overpriced! And because we have more than 28 years of experience, we thought we'd shed some light on a few wedding photography secrets.

Keep these tips in mind when booking your own wedding photographer.

1 - Book your photographer far in advance!

Be sure that securing your wedding photographer is at the top of your list as the best photographers get booked quickly. We have many couples who book at least a year, sometimes two years, in advance.

2 - Invest in your wedding photos.

Let's face it. After the party is over, the cake is gone, and your dress packed carefully away, your wedding photos are going to be the only thing left to share. Don't skimp on your photography budget. You don't want to be haunted by regret. That's why our motto here is you live the moment, we'll capture it.

3 - Ask the tough questions.

Make sure your wedding photographer is a professional. You don't want to trust your most precious memories to someone who doesn't have enough experience to handle your big day, especially if things don't go exactly to plan. We've been in business since 1989 and not only know the ins and outs of what you want captured from your wedding, but also know how to make you look your best and ensnare the essence of your love through our lens.

4 - Do your homework.

4 - Do your homework. Ask your photographer to see full galleries from previous weddings, not just a few snapshots, to truly get an idea of their photography style. We are always willing to share our work from the countless weddings we've done over the years so you can see how we capture each couple's story.

5 - Work out the details.

Discuss with your photographer a detailed shot list of what you want from your wedding. We always make sure to have these types of conversations with our clients to guarantee we capture the big moments they are expecting.

6 - Plan out the post-wedding timeline.

It's natural to eagerly await your photos after your big day so make a plan with your photographer. Ask for a "sneak peek" of your photos - something we always post to Facebook so you can immediately share with family and friends - as well as the timeline of when you will receive the rest of your photos.

Keep these tips in mind when planning your wedding photography and you'll be much happier when all is said and done. Or better yet, contact us with your wedding photography needs and we will make sure you get all the answers to these questions and more!
